I thought I would take the opportunity to share an update with everyone. I am currently recording my debut album Wilderness and will be releasing it through Bandcamp on January 11th.
The record is written and produced entirely by myself and I am recording the full ten tracks in a small, tenement flat in Edinburgh; lo-fi epitomised! Wilderness is one of three full-length albums I am recording over the next two years and releasing on my own label, Samuel Escher Recordings Ltd.
For now, I will leave you with the artwork from the upcoming album, drawn by Melanie Caple (melaniecaple.com) ; a wonderfully talented Australian artist who puts into pictures what I can only say with words.
I am a fiercely independent poet and songwriter. The ownership of my work is paramount to me as an artist and with the advances in blockchain technology, we can, unlike ever before, truly protect our work and identity.
Whilst in the nascent stages of development, I truly believe that the po.et project is the future of publishing and, to that end, have opted to start publishing my poetry through the network. You can find out more about the po.et project by following the link in the logo.
Samuel will be playing in the semi-final of the Listen Up Songwriting Competition in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 30th. Come down, listen to some original music and support a great cause. Follow link in the photo for tickets! See you there!
Happy to announce that I’ve been selected for the Top 100 in the Listen Up Music songwriting festival 2018. Stay tuned for more info! You can check out their website here – let’s keep talking about mental health.
